ICE BREAKERS
Come equipped with these on the first day of camp
or the first day of each session:

Everyone sits in a circle on chairs again. One girl gets up, stands in the middle, and you take away her chair. She says for ex. "I have brown hair" whoever has brown hair has to jump up and switch seats with each other, while this girl in middle runs and sits down in one of their chairs. Obviously one is left without a chair, stands in middle and says "I love Pizza!" whoever loves pizza jumps up and switches chairs....

Pair everyone up, or have them pair themselves up. They must be paired with someone they never met before. Give them a few minutes to talk and get
to know stuff about each other. Then, get everyone together in a group. Go around the circle, and evyone has to introduce themselves. Only, instead of
introducing yourself, you have to introduce your partner, and give basic info about her.

everyone sits in a circle (if it's a huge group, maybe divide them into 2 circles). You go around the circle, and everyone introduces themselves and says three things about themselves: 2 that are true, and one that is false. Everyone has to guess which fact is the false fact. Then you go onto the next person.

Have a poster board or something large to write on that everyone can see. The leader says to the group, "pretend you are traveling on a plane or train on
your vacation and you are sitting next to a girl your age. You want to
start a conversation with her, so what are some of the questions you might
ask her to strike up a conversation? The girls will throw out suggestions
like, "what's your name, how old are you, where do you go to school,
parents, siblings, what books you like to read, where do you go to
synagogue, pets, etc, etc." When you think you have enough questions, you
provide each girl with a large index card and pencil. Then divide the group
into pairs (make sure the girls don't know each other in each pair, and if
there is an "extra" girl, the leader can team up with her.). Each girl
conducts an interview of the other and asks them the questions that they
have come up with. Give 5-10 minutes per interview per girl, then switch.
At the end, each girl stands up and gives a talk about the girl she
interviewed in front of the group. That way everyone gets introduced and
everyone gets to speak in front of the group. It turned out to be fun and
everyone listened closely as the girls spoke about each other. Some of the
teams came up with questions not on the original list, too!

Get a package of colored chocolate lentils, tell each girl to take 1 - 5. After each camper has their candy, tell them anyone who has a pink has to say the most embarrassing thing that happened to them, purple-a family quirk, yellow, what they like the most about being jewish, green-a joke etc. To make this a little more entertaining, when it is their turn, they have to put the chocolate lentils on their tongue and then say what the appropriate "speech" pertaining to their color.

Have each person tell what animal best fits their personality
as a description and why.

You can also have childen introduce themselves by their full name and say something they thankful for that begins with their initials for example, Hi my name is Peter Pan, I'm thankful for Palm Pilots, or Lilly Schwartz, thankful for liquid soap etc.

Have each person make an acronym out of their name, using words that describe them. For example, DINA: Diligint, Intellectual, Neat-freak, Absent-minded.
